As a parent, you are the first and the most important teacher in your kid’s life. When parents take part in the school activities and studies of the children, it has an altogether different impact. Children have a better and improved feeling when the parents are involved in their education and extracurricular. It is said that the perfect way to optimise the achievement of the kids by the parents is by supervising their learning experience. It is not the time to hover on completing the homework and start favoring something more powerful and subtle. Parents are undoubtedly concerned and critical about their children’s performance in the school. However, only conventional methods will not be helpful in changing their performance.

From the parent’s perspective, it is unbelievable that how the kids can keep their friends or gadgets before their studies. You need to figure out how to get your kid out of that. There may be many pressures they might be going through but aren’t telling you. You as a parent, need to get the root of your kid’s problem in order to keep him focused on schooling. It is sometimes more tricky and uneven path for the parents to motivate the children. Motivating parents help the child to regulate their attention, emotions, flexibility, and perseverance. The major question is that how to actually do that in order to motivate the kids to succeed in school. Let us figure out what measures can be taken:

#1. Keep The Relationship Open And Positive

This is the most important motivational strategy. Just remember to play in your kid’s team, never play against them. This will provide them a wall that someone will guide everything they do. They will secure that you are always around. The relationship between a child and parents need to very positive and open for the obvious reasons. This will allow you to be the motivational spirit for them. Also, you are the most influential to them in this case. Manipulation, pushing, punishing and threatening will take your relationship nowhere but to the end of permanent damage. If you are anxious and frustrated, you can not make effective changes in your kid. Maintain an open relationship so that if they have any problem, they can come to you. Remember, your job is to keep your kid in a secure environment. If you will provide a negative environment, they will become defiant.

#2. Develop The Partnership With Teachers

Meeting the teachers of your kid after a decent gap is extremely useful. Since the kid spends most of their time in the school, you should get the guidance of someone who is always around them. Yes, teachers! Ask them about the problems the kid is facing in school so that you can get to the solution earlier. You should always know what is going on in their school. You should also know the kind of social and emotional environment your kid is growing up in. Attend the who’s who of the school always. It will let you know the people in your kid’s school and their responsibility. Each school has the different type of things to work in. The conferences between teachers and parents are also immensely significant to use. If you are occupied and can not connect with the school directly, you can try and contact them through email.
